A man was fatally shot in Detroit, Michigan after he failed to back up an elevator for someone else, police said.

Michigan police say a 29-year-old man has died after an argument over elevator etiquette turned into a shooting.
Shooting took place on the night of Sunday, November 28, on the eighth floor building on the south side of Detroitin the Greektown area, Police Chief James White said at a press conference.
Around 2 a.m., the victim got on the elevator but apparently was unable to hold it for another person, White said. This led to an argument and the man pulled out a gun and shot the 29-year-old.
White called the incident “absolutely ridiculous.”
Surveillance video captured a “person of interest” in the homicide, and police are asking anyone who recognizes the person to contact investigators at 313-596-2260 or 1-800.
