Imagine: you are sitting on a sandy beach on an island. You have just read the most wonderful book. Sunny and windy. Someone brings you a margarita every hour, every hour (alternating with water, of course). And you eat shrimp tacos. This is my fantasy.

There is one aspect of this dream that you can recreate at home: Spicy Lime Shrimp Tacos. Make a big batch for entertaining or make a big batch for yourself to enjoy your favorite shows.

It’s quite possibly one of the easiest, no-frills recipes I’ve ever made. Shortcuts like buying pre-shredded kale or a coleslaw/shrimp salad mix get things done in no time. The best part is that you don’t even have to turn on the oven.

Spicy shrimp are offset by a creamy, tangy salad. Lime adds freshness and raisin. Coleslaw Dressing also makes a good salad dressing when you get sick of vinaigrette.

Before you know it, your dining room will be a beach.

How to make spicy shrimp tacos

Clean the shrimp and pat dry with paper towels. Transfer to mixing bowl and cover them with oil and your spice mix.

Warm up frying pan over medium heat and add oil. Fry the shrimp until cooked.

In another mixing bowlcombine the salad mixture with mayonnaise, vinegar, sour cream, lime and cilantro.

Spread the shrimp with a spoon warmed tortillas and top with coleslaw mixture and any additional toppings.
