Boner County Governor, K-9 crashed

LACKLID, Idaho – A Boner County and K-9 man was injured in an accident Thursday night.

The Boner County Sheriff’s Office reported that at about 7 p.m., the deputy was stopped on the side of Highway 2 near Lackled. He helped with the car breakdown.

Another car crashed into the back of his cruiser while he was inside with his K-9. The deputy, K-9 and another driver were taken to hospital for treatment.

The deputy received minor injuries and was discharged from the hospital. K-9 is being evaluated, but it is expected that everything will be fine.

In Idaho, the law is to slow down and move when you drive past a stopped emergency vehicle with flashing lights.
