Gas prices are rising steadily amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the Americans don’t expect them shrink soon, experts say. In the meantime, check out these five apps available for iOS and Android devices to help your pocket.
GasBuddy, which has existed since 2000, has a high rating in the App Store for a good reason. The program claims that if you get a free fuel card at a discount, you will “never again pay the full price at the pump”. The app gives you a map of the cheapest gas prices near you, and by using a free membership card, you’ll save up to 25 cents per gallon. GasBuddy, which has more than 400,000 ratings averaging 4.7 stars, even warns you about what amenities nearby stations offer.
This will help you save not only on gas. According to the company, you can easily “get back cash for your daily purchases, without changing anything about how you shop or live. ” The app allows you to make money back on gas, groceries and restaurants by simply “signing up” in the app while staying at the establishment or taking pictures of the receipt. You can save up to 25 cents per gallon at major gas stations across the United States and earn up to 45% of your money back to more than 17,000 restaurants and fast food outlets nationwide.
Gas Guru is another app that shows you all the cheapest gas prices near you. The free app will also show you what cash discounts are available or what amenities, such as car washes or ATMs, are available at each station.
Waze fans note its ability to get you where you want it in no time, while avoiding annoying issues such as traffic, construction or accidents. But the app also shows the cheapest gas prices on your itinerary, making it the perfect app to run while traveling.
According to Receipt Hog, it’s as simple as tying, earning and maternity. The app says the user can take a picture of any check to get cashback for purchases, including gas refueling. You can cash in with PayPal or gift cards.
