Mrs. Elsie Lane Kitsch Kitsch, 90, a former resident of Free Union Church Road, Pinetown, died Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2022, at the Chapel of the Funeral Home and Paul Crematorium in Washington, D.C., hosted by Pastor Gary Bateman. Burial will take place at Oakdale Cemetery.

Mrs. Kitsch was born in Beaufort County on December 11, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Heber and Lydia Arlene Asby Kitsch. Mrs. Kitsch was a graduate of Bath High School in 1950. She has been a Tri-County Telephone customer service representative for over 30 years. Ms. Kitsch was a member of the Free Union Baptist Church and Auxiliary House. She was very active in her community and in the church as long as her health allowed.

On January 20, 1956, she married Rudolf Jackson Kitsch, who preceded her death on March 16, 2008.

Mrs. Kitsch was survived by her son Randy Kitsch of Bennetsville, SC; brother Kenneth Marshall Kitsch Sr. and wife Sandra of Washington; and nieces whom she considered her children, Kenneth M. Kitsch Jr. and wife Pam of Greenville, James A. Kitsch of Washington; and Beth Ann House and husband, Lee of Washington.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Paul’s Funeral Home and Crematorium.
