Gonzaga overcomes the St. Mary’s Challenge for victory

SPOKAN, Washington. – After St. Mary’s reduced the lead by more than 20 points to just 8 at 3:10 by the end of the game, Julian Strotter struck two massive arches from behind in two minutes to help Gonzaga pull away for the win.

At the beginning of the game, the Bulldogs scored with difficulty from the field, but the presence of Drew Tim and Chet Holmgren was too much for the Gels. Tim finished the game by scoring 25 points while shooting 11/16.

With Gonzaga’s victory he extends his winning streak against Saint Mary’s to 6 and remains perfect in the WCC game. Next for them will be a trip to Malibu to meet Pepperdine on Wednesday night. In their first meeting this year, the Bulldogs blew up the 117-83 waves.
