SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Law enforcement responded to North Pines High School Monday following a potential security threat on social media, the school said.
The security director for the Central Valley School District was notified of the threat and law enforcement was called to North Pines.
After a thorough investigation, law enforcement determined that the threat was not credible and that there was no immediate threat to the school.
Extra security will be in place at North Pines High School on Tuesday out of an abundance of caution.
The school thanked those who reported the threats and reminded the public to continue to “see something, say something” and parents to have this conversation with students.
