Chelsea Hunter was shocked when she looked out of her deer stand at her family’s Alabama property.

Opposite her was Fr. a massive, 13-point dollar she has been hunting for two seasons, she told Alabama Black Belt Adventures.

“I never dreamed I would see him that day. He walked up to me. He stopped and turned. I fired, ”Hunter of Thalassie said in a news release.

She first saw a deer while hunting in the 2020-2021 season. When she took the dollar in Macon County on January 4, 2022, it weighed 242 pounds, which Hunter said was the largest deer she had mined.

According to her, Hunter first saw the dollar immediately after scoring the smaller dollar by nine points. After she saw the 13-point dollar, she was thrilled.

“I was just amazed at how beautiful he was. I hunted him down hard last year. I was in the woods at every opportunity, ”she said.

However, in January, her ability to shoot deer was not planned, she said in a release. The hunter was on a spontaneous hunt with his family and wandered up to the deer to get some peace and quiet, she said.

It was the same day she noticed that near her reindeer stall a special deer was chasing two dogs.

“It’s deer of a lifetimefor sure, ”Hunter told

A photo of Hunter with a trophy deer won the Alabama Black Belt Adventures Big Buck Photo Contest, which received more than 100 entries and garnered thousands of votes, the contest said.

The cherished dollar has become one of her grandfather’s favorite dishes – venison and greens – she told Alabama Black Belt Adventures, and gave advice to other hunters.

“Learn to have a little patience,” she said in a release. “Let them play a little money and they will get a trophy.”
