A family of mountain lions was spotted playing in a snowy backyard in Montana, and the homeowner filmed the encounter from behind a sliding glass door.

Colin Nobil, a fly fishing guide in Bozeman, posted a video of the mountain lion family to his Instagram Feb. 17.

The video shows what appears to be the mother with her three cubs following closely behind her. One of them perches on a hot tub a few steps from the sliding glass door before hopping down into the snow.
[–>
“So cute. They look like kittens,” the person recording the video says.

Nobil did not respond to McClatchy News’ request for comment.
[–>
Conversation in the comments ranged from jokes about letting them inside to discussion about the dangers of letting the predators come that close to their home.
[–>
“If you’re cold, they’re cold. Let them in,” someone joked. Someone else joked that’s the motto the previous owner of the home must have lived by in order to attract the family there to the backyard.
[–>
Some reminded them the area was mountain lion country before humans decided to build homes there.
[–>
“The more we expand civilization the more these mountain lions will get nearer to us,” someone commented. “These are majestic animals who need large swaths of land to roam and hunt.”
[–>
“Mountain lions thinking: ‘someone built a house and hot tub in our backyard?’ ” someone said in response to the caption on the video reading “mountain lion family in our backyard.”
[–>
“The quote is incorrect. It should read ‘Our family in the Mountain Lions yard,’ ” someone else said.
