Nominees for The Columbian 2022-23 Week 15 Prep Athlete of the Week

Here are the nominees for The Columbian’s 2022-23 Week 15 High School Athlete of the Week.

Voting will continue until 7pm on Wednesday and the results will be announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

Athlete of the Week winners may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.

To avoid vote manipulation, voters must provide an email address. Votes are limited to one per day per email address.

Here are the nominees:

KIRSTEN LEASE, WASHOUGHALL GIRLS WRESTLING: Lees won three matches by fall to capture the 135-pound division at the Clark County Championships.

ANNA MOONEY, SETON CATHOLIC GIRLS’ BASKETBALL: Mooney had 28 points and 12 rebounds in the league-leading Cougars’ two wins.

OWEN ROBERTSON, UNION BOYS SWIMMING: Robertson won the 200 and 500 freestyles and was part of two winning Kelso Invitational relays.

MALACHI WALLAWAY, LA CENTER BOYS WRESTLING: After three runner-up finishes, Walway earned his first Clark County title with a 4-2 decision over Ridgefield’s Lance Draper at 120 pounds.

KYLEEJO WISINSKI, COLUMBIA RIVER BOWLING: Wisinski averaged 202.5 over four games, including a 253 game as the Rapids won two games.
