Here’s the latest update on planned roadwork in the Paris district for the week starting July 8, 2024. Please note that schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen issues. Motorists are advised to stay vigilant, follow traffic signs and controls, reduce speed in work zones, and avoid distractions.

Safety Message – Pedestrian Safety
Pedestrian fatalities have risen significantly in Texas, with preventable factors such as failing to yield, inattention, and speeding contributing to these incidents. Both pedestrians and drivers are urged to adhere strictly to traffic laws and remain alert to reduce accidents.

Sherman Area (Fannin, Grayson Counties)

Grayson County:

US 75:

Ongoing project to widen mainlanes and reconstruct ramps. Reduced speed limit of 65 mph. Watch for lane shifts and closures, including U-turn bridge closures at specified locations.

Permanent closure of northbound US 75 exit ramp to North Loy Lake Road. Detour via Crawford Street.

Permanent closure of southbound frontage road entrance onto US 75. Detour around Spur 503 to access southbound US 75.

FM 691:

U-turn lanes at US 75 frontage road closed from July 12 for bridge construction.

Other Projects:

    • Various lane closures and shifts on US 75 and US 82 for bridge and road repairs.

Fannin County:

FM 2990:

Bridge closure at North Sulphur River starting July 8 as part of Lake Ralph Hall project. Use SH 34 as alternate route.

FM 1753:

Bridge closure at Brushy Creek. Detour via FM 2645, FM 898, US 82, and FM 1752.

Lane closures on FM 274, SH 56, and various county roads for maintenance and rehabilitation.
