Pasco police are looking for a suspect in the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy

KENNEWICK – Pasco police are continuing to search for a gunman who shot and killed a teenager outside an apartment building Monday night.

A 14-year-old boy was shot multiple times at a complex near 22nd Avenue and Henry Street sometime before 6:30 p.m., Sgt. Tom Groom told the Tri-City Herald.

The wounded teenager managed to walk the block to a busy 20th Avenue mall and entered a Rite Aid store.

“Bystanders stepped in to provide immediate first aid to the victim until police and fire (crews) could arrive,” Groom said. “(It’s) likely that the help helped this young man make a speedy recovery.”

Paramedics took him to a nearby hospital.
