SPOKANE, WA. — Snow is falling in the Inland Northwest, making for a challenging morning commute.
Crews from the Washington State Department of Transportation and the City of Spokane are already working to plow and remove the ice. They will first concentrate on major roads and thoroughfares before moving on to side streets.
When you meet a plow, give them plenty of room to clear the road. Crews are processing roads at 35 mph or less to keep material on the road.
Those going to work or school should leave a few minutes early to allow enough time to reach their destination.
