Richardson helps Oregon keep Washington Street late, 62-59

Eugene, Oregon (AP) – Will Richardson knocked down a 3-point counter for the minute left to allow Oregon to hold on to a 62-59 victory over Washington on Monday night.

Richardson’s three gave the Ducks a 62-53 lead, but Washington got two 3-pointers from Michael Flowers, who missed a third 3-pointer and tied the score 3 seconds before the end.

Flowers scored in the basket in the last minute of the first half to score the Cougars for six, 35-29, in the break, and DJ Rodman opened the second half with a three-pointer, Mohamed Gaye stopped, Efe Abaghidi soaked and Tyrell Roberts hit from the depth to bring Washington state ahead, 39-35. N’Fali Dante scored the scores in a row to forever put the Ducks on top, 49-45 at 7:42.

N’Fali Dante and De’Vion Harman had 13 points each to lead the Dax (17-8, 10-4 Pac-12), who moved away from a sad defeat to California that ended a run of four in a row. Dante scored 9 rebounds in the team, and Oregon scored 41.7% of the field (25 of 60).

On Thursday, Oregon will travel to the game from Arizona, and on Saturday will meet with No. 3 Arizona.
