ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) – Casey Sizikas scored a goal and a pass, Ilya Sorokin made 34 saves in his fifth season, and the New York Islanders defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-0 on Sunday night.

Noah Dobson, Andy Green and Kiefer Bells also scored a goal for the Islanders, who walked away from a sad 5-2 defeat to the Los Angeles Kings the night before.

Center Islanders Matthew Barzal and defender Zena Chara did not play after injuries against the Kings on Saturday. Barzal, who has a lower body injury, and Chara, who has an upper body injury, both appear every day, coach Barry Trotz said before the game.

Anthony Stolarz conceded four goals with 22 shots for the ducks, who were left without points for the fourth time.

Anaheim have lost mostly in five of their last seven games, blunting their amazing push to reach the playoffs for the first time in four seasons. The Ducks are two points behind Dallas for the second wild card in the Western Conference and are three points behind Vegas for third place in the Pacific Division.

Dobson led New York 1-0 with a score of 6:19 in the first when his shot from the right point through the movement went after beating Anaheim defender Kevin Shatenkirk.

Sizikas made it 2-0 just 1:33 in the second leg, burying Ross Johnston’s pass in a sharp jerk when the Ducks faced a deferred penalty for too many people on the ice after a sloppy line change.

Green increased the lead to 3-0 with 8:17 remaining in third. He scored when hitting the wrist from the left circle set up by Johnston, who gave two assists for the first time.

Bellows scored a goal in the break with a score of 4:56 until the end.

NOTES: Johnston’s first multiplayer game took place in his 100th NHL appearance.
