Spokane Regional Health District says COVID cases are moving in the right direction

SPOKAN, Washington. – The number of cases of COVID-19 and hospitalization is developing in the right direction.

Spokane Regional Health District monitors the direction of cases and hospitalizations and asks, “Is this the trend we want to see?” In an update for Tuesday, February 15, 2022, the answer to both of these questions was “yes”.

The chart, released by county health officials, shows a sharp drop in the incidence per 100,000 people. The number of hospitalizations is also decreasing.

Data from the Washington Department of Health shows that 65.6 percent of people in Spokane County aged five and older have started receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
