SPRINGDALE, Wash. – People living in Springdale should boil their water before drinking.

The Stevens County Sheriff’s Office says Springdale has issued a notice to people using their water system.

SCSO orders that water be brought to a boil for one minute before use. SCSO says it takes about 30 minutes for the water to cool, so be sure to plan.

SCSO says to boil a portion of water beforehand so you don’t have to use it hot and burn yourself. You can wash, drink and cook with boiled water.

It is not known when the water supply will be restored. You can contact Springdale City Hall for more information at 509-258-7258.
