Target is testing new lifting options with Starbucks, back

Soon, target customers will be able to order Starbucks and return the pair of pants that didn’t quite fit – all from the store parking.

The National Big Box Store plans to expand pickup services on the same day, including a new one curb return processOn February 23, Target announced success with similar contactless shopping options during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Customers who pick up goods can also order their favorite Starbucks drink through the Target app without leaving the car. Former Target CEO Chris Walton praised add-ons that change the gamewhich will be tested in selected markets starting this fall.

“This means that Target shoppers can now virtually get or do whatever they normally do at the Target store without going to the Target store,” the Walton Star Tribune said. “This is the definition of a large multi-channel retailer.”

Target did not specify in which markets new roadside options will be available. McClatchy News contacted the seller on Thursday, Feb. 24, and is awaiting a response.

The company said Starbucks ’increase in orders was a“ major demand ”among customers, prompting an expansion of self-pickup options on the sidelines and on the same day. According to a press release, once this feature becomes available, coffee lovers can indicate that they are “on their way” to the store using the Target app.

A team member will deliver a full order for their car as soon as they arrive, the company said.

The process is similar to initiating a return from the sidelines. Guests can start the process in the mobile app and complete it upon arrival at one of the lanes for the porch, the release said.

In addition to new offerings on the sidelines, Target said it is expanding its “backup items” functionality, allowing guests to choose from a wider range of categories in case their first choice is not available.

“Our guests keep telling us that they like the lightness and convenience of Drive Up, and they asked us to add even more Target experience to the service,” said Mark Schindel, director of Target, in a statement. “Adding a Starbucks order and easy returns, as well as expanding our backup options will give guests even more of what they enjoy shopping at Target, quickly and easily.”
