A tattoo artist is accused of shooting a customer in the stomach after the customer said he owed him $5 for a tattoo, according to Tennessee court records.
Artavius Robinson, 31, got into an argument with a customer on May 23 in Memphis because he said he still owed him $5, according to a complaint filed in Shelby County District Court.
Witnesses told police that after the customer refused to pay, Robinson “pulled out a handgun and shot (the customer) in the stomach,” the affidavit said. He then fled through an apartment complex.
Robinson was booked into the Shelby County Jail on Nov. 11, according to jail records.
He faces charges of attempted second-degree murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated assault, according to jail records.
Records show he is being held on $280,000 bond in three separate cases.
The condition of the shot victim is not known.
