Maryland officials say a 13-year-old boy has died days after he was shot while working in his yard.

Prince George’s County District Attorney Aisha Braveboy said Jaise Agnew died on Friday, Nov. 11, three days after after he was shot. Jaise was raking leaves in his family’s backyard in Hillcrest Heights, about 10 miles southeast of D.C., when he was shot.

Police are investigating and have not yet identified any suspects, Braveboy said in a press release.

Jase was shot in the head, his parents said on GoFundMe. He is remembered as a respectful and caring boy.

“Our Jaze is a loving child. His only fights are with his younger sister Alia over video games,” the report said.

The 13-year-old aspired to a career in medicine an emergency physicianhis mom told WJLA.

“He was very, very playful. That’s one thing that I know that bothers me because I can’t even think that someone wanted to hurt him,” his mother said, according to the publication. “Never disrespectful, never rude. You didn’t have to worry about him talking back or anything like that.’
