An empty mobile home was destroyed in a fire Monday morning in Hazel Dell.
Clark County Fire District 6 responded around 3:30 a.m. in Callaham Mobile Court, at 10804 NE, Highway 99. The crews arrived in a single unit, fully engulfed and a flame about 10 feet high.
The fire began to spread to a nearby unit, but spokesman Dave Shymtke said firefighters held back the fire in one unit.
According to him, the brigades put out the fire by 4 am. One mobile home was completely lost, costing $ 300.
At that time no one lived in the block, and a neighbor told the fire department that the burned unit was scheduled for demolition.
The Vancouver Fire Department truck and Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office also responded.
