The globe lights up blue and yellow to show support for Ukraine

SPOKAN, Washington. The inner northwest is showing its support for Ukraine.

Gonzaga Prep Sr. Dylan D’Agostino and his friends wanted to bring awareness to the crisis, so they illuminated the Globe building with the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

His father owns the Globe, so he asked if they could turn on the light.

“I hope that people pass by and see the color of the Ukrainian flag, that it encourages them to learn more about what is happening abroad, and perhaps help to support the movement and show solidarity with it,” D’Agostina said.

D’Agostino said that they consider what is happening in Ukraine an act of aggression and unfounded.

Back in 2015, they changed the light to show support after the attack on France.
