The Junior Fire Academy returns to Riverpark Square this Sunday

The Spokane Department’s Junior Fire Academy is back on Sunday

SPOKANE, WA. This Sunday, your kids can have a fun firefighting experience at the Junior Fire Academy.

The Spokane Fire Department, SAFE Kids, Downtown Spokane Partnership and River Park Square are partnering to host this free family event.

It will be held at River Park Square and Wall Street in downtown Spokane on Sunday, September 11, from noon to 2 p.m.

The Kids Fire Academy is an opportunity for children and families to experience what it’s like to be a firefighter and learn about fire safety.

The Children’s Fire Academy is open to children of all ages.

You can take a tour and see ladder truck and fire truck demonstrations, learn CPR, make a craft, operate a charged fire hose, learn about child passenger safety from SAFE Kids Spokane and more!

At each event, children will collect stamps and receive a junior firefighter certificate.
