The last storm has just ended, but another one is coming right after it with new snow. Heavy snow will begin to fall early Sunday morning in the Cascade foothills and the Okanogan Mountains. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from Sunday morning through Monday for Okanogan, Douglas, Ferry, Stevens and Pend Arey counties. Heavy snow could reach a foot or more in the Methow Valley with more than 6 inches east of Roosevelt Lake.

By Sunday evening and Monday morning, the snow will be mostly gone in Spokane and North Idaho and will affect your commute.

If you’re outside the snow zone, conditions shouldn’t be too uncomfortable. The temperature is expected to be between 30 and 40 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. A squall is possible in the metro in the morning, and in some places short-term rain in the afternoon and early evening.

Spokane and Coeur d’Alene forecast

Snow will impact Monday morning commutes with 1-4 inches around the metro area by the time the storm moves in later in the day. It will be a cold week with lows in the teens and highs below freezing. A cold wind will make it feel even colder when you wake up on Tuesday.
