The UN says the civilian death toll was 351

BERLIN – The UN Office for Human Rights says it has confirmed the deaths of 351 civilians in Ukraine since the Russian invasion began.

The Geneva office said another 707 civilians were injured between February 24 and midnight Friday.

The Human Rights Service uses a rigorous methodology and reports only the victims it has confirmed. On Saturday, he said he believed the real figures were much higher, “especially in government-controlled territory, and especially in recent days”, as information from some heavy fighting sites was delayed and many reports were still confirmed.

Ukrainian officials presented much higher figures.
