The Whitcom 911 dispatch alert system has been restored

PULLMAN, WA. Whitcom’s 911 dispatch system was down for several hours Saturday. The line has been restored.

Whitcom 911 provides dispatch services for police, fire and EMS.

The Pullman Police Department says it affects those with fire alarms or burglar alarms. This means that the alarm company will not be able to tell Whitcom that something is wrong.

The Pullman Police Department said if you experience an alarm, call 911 to make sure Whitcom is aware and emergency responders can get to your home or business in time.

Whitcom 911 has created a temporary email address so you can contact them. They said it was not regularly monitored and was being used temporarily while crews worked to restore the line.

If it was not an emergency to report, you could email Whitcom 911 at report@whitcom.org. They asked to include the following in their email:

  • Address the problem
  • The nature of the problem
  • Specific details of the problem
  • Your contact information is your name, address and phone number
