Tonight, intermittent rains and thunderstorms are moving north from northeastern Oregon to the Washington Palus and Columbia basins. These slow storms will result in heavy rains with light hail and gusts of wind of up to 40 miles per hour. Meanwhile, additional storms are moving northeast through the Washington Cascades to the Akanogan area. These thunderstorms will last until evening and night. VIEWS FLASH FLOOD were issued for the counties of Chelan, Akanogan, Douglas, Ferry, Garfield, and Asotin. On Friday morning we will have a short break from the storms, but more are expected in the afternoon. Again, heavy rain is alarming on Friday. Cool weather is expected over the weekend, intermittent rains and possible thunderstorms on Sunday.
