Ukrainian servicemen were killed after Russian artillery struck a base in Okhtyrka

KIU, Ukraine – More than 70 Ukrainian servicemen were killed in a Russian artillery strike on a military base in the city of Okhtyrka, located between Kharkiv and Kyiv, the head of the region wrote in the Telegram.

Dmitry Zhivitsky published photos of the burnt-out four-storey house and rescuers looking for blockages.

In a later Facebook post, he said many Russian soldiers and some locals were also killed during Sunday’s fighting. The message cannot be confirmed immediately.
