Whitcom 911 dispatch system down, crews working to restore line

PULLMAN, Wash. — Whitcom’s 911 dispatch system is currently down.

Whitcom 911 provides dispatch services for police, fire and EMS.

The Pullman Police Department says it affects those with fire alarms or burglar alarms. This means that the alarm company will not be able to tell Whitcom that something is wrong.


The Pullman Police Department says if you experience an alarm, call 911 to make sure Whitcom is aware and that emergency responders can get to your home or business in time.

Whitcom 911 shortly before 9:45 a.m. that Ziply’s technical team would arrive in about an hour to fix the problem.

If something comes up, Whitcom 911 has created a temporary email address for you to contact them. They say it is not regularly monitored and is being used temporarily while crews work to restore the line.

If there is a non-emergency situation to report, you can email Whitcom 911 at report@whitcom.org. They ask that you include the following in your email:

  • Address the problem
  • The nature of the problem
  • Specific details of the problem
  • Your contact information is your name, address and phone number
