Head-on crash on US 95 near Moscow involving teenage driver leaves five hospitalized

MOSCOW, ID. — As a result of a head-on collision on US 95 near Route 356 near Moscow involving a teenage driver, five people ended up in the hospital.

Idaho State Police say a 16-year-old boy was driving a Honda minivan with several family members inside when he lost control of the van, crossed the center divider and collided head-on with a Hyundai SUV.

A 22-year-old guy was driving a Hyundai SUV with a female passenger.

Everyone in the minivan was wearing seat belts. Three people who were in the minivan were taken to the hospital. Both people in the Hyundai SUV were also taken to the hospital.

The highway was closed for investigation and medical purposes.

The teenager was tried for speeding too fast for the conditions.
