John Fetterman gives Democrats huge win, beating Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania Senate race

a democrat John Fetterman won a tough victory over Republican Mehmet in the Pennsylvania Senate race, delivering his party’s first pickup of the night.

Mr. FettermanThe victory was perhaps the biggest of the night for the Democrats who participated in the election, protecting the smallest majority in the Senate.

It can also be the most shocking he battled throughout the campaign with post-stroke symptoms that disappeared him trying to reassure voters him fitness for duty.

Mr. Fettermanthe state’s lieutenant governor, led Mr. Oz 49% to 48% in an estimated 88% of the vote.

Mr. Oz, a famous physician and political newcomer, received a key boost in the Republican primary when he secured the support of former President Donald Trump.

He seemed to find his stride in the summer months after national Republicans began running ads attacking Mr. Fetterman as soft on crime.

Mr. Fettermanhowever, apparently had the upper hand in the minds of voters after months of branding Mr. Oz as an untouchable, rich carpetbagger from New Jersey.

The race was one of the most expensive in the nation as both parties vied for the seat of Republican Sen. Patrick J. Toomey, who is retiring.
