Republicans Fulcher and Simpson win Idaho congressional elections

COEUR D’ALLENE, Idaho — Republican candidates Russ Fulcher and Mike Simpson will represent two Idaho congressional districts.

Fulcher leads Democrat Kaylee Peterson with 72.4% of the vote to Peterson’s 25.1%. Simpson also leads her opponent Wendy Norman (D) with 63.1% of the vote, beating Norman with 36.9%.

Fulcher was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018, succeeding Raul Labrador, who is currently running for Idaho Attorney General.

Simpson has represented Idaho’s second congressional district since 1999, succeeding Mike Krapp.
