This week also features some high-profile games like the Titans-Chiefs Sunday Night Football matchup and the Rams-Buccaneers rematch of their 2021 NFC Divisional Classic.

It’s also a week where many potential contenders will have to prove themselves in tough matchups that include Bills-Jets, Vikings-Commanders, Seahawks-Cardinals and Chargers-Falcons. This combination means the NFL Week 9 betting lines are on programs for betting on sports will feature a variety of games that will be fun to watch and fun to bet on.

NFL Week 9 Odds: Biggest Favorites Against the Spread

These strong moneyline bets only partially affect the point spreads in the NFL’s Week 9 odds, as there are only three games with a touchdown spread or more, but all three of those matchups feature high-profile teams looking to make another championship run.

Carolina Panthers at Cincinnati Bengals (-7.5)

The Panthers are just 48 yards from winning their two-game winning streak, but that doesn’t seem to have much of an impact on the NFL’s Week 9 betting lineup for this game, as the Bengals sports betting public continues to see. more than a touchdown favorite.

Buffalo Bills (-11.5) at New York Jets

The Jets might have been able to keep the NFL’s Week 9 odds in this game in the single digits if not for Zach Wilson’s dramatic outburst last week against the Patriots. Combine that with the Bills’ return of Tre’Davious White and the addition of Nyheim Hines, and it’s clear why the betting public sees Buffalo as the overwhelming favorite in this matchup. Be on the lookout New York betting promotions in this battle in the Empire State.

Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5)

The Titans have been a one-man team lately, as Derrick Henry has played 90 tackles over the past three weeks. That conservative approach has helped Tennessee put together a five-game winning streak, but betting people don’t think it will work on the road against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. That’s why this game has the highest combined point spread among Sunday and Monday games in NFL Week 9 odds.

If you want to bet on any of these games and are a little worried about the big spreads, BetMGM bonus code MCBET offers new bettors a risk-free first bet of up to $1,000.

Top NFL Week 9 Underdogs

A penchant for low-scoring games has made some home teams solid picks for NFL Week 9 bets available at online sports books.

Los Angeles Chargers at Atlanta Falcons (+140)

The Falcons have been one of the most consistent scoring teams in the league as Atlanta has scored 23+ points in all but two games and 27+ points in five games. Marcus Mariota is finally showing some improvement as a passer, and that has led to Kyle Pitts finding the end zone in two of the last three games.

The Falcons’ pass coverage has been an issue, but the Chargers will be without Mike Williams and likely without Keenan Allen. Add to that Los Angeles playing an early road game on the East Coast, and the Falcons will get a percentage of the games in Week 9 of the NFL.

Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears (+175)

A great running game is the equalizer, and Chicago has one of those as the Bears have rushed for over 200 yards in three straight games. Combine that with the fact that Tua Tagovailoa is a hit and miss and the Bears defense has been doing well with long passes lately, and Chicago could be a profitable game in the NFL’s Week 9 odds.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (+106)

The most consistent part of the Raiders’ 2022 season has been their low-scoring defense, as Las Vegas has allowed 20 or more points in every game this year and 23+ points in all but one game. The Raiders’ offense has the talent to keep up in the shootout, but that’s really been the case all year, and Las Vegas still has a 2-5 record.

Jacksonville can run the ball pretty well, and when you add that to the pass defense matchup, which is an early Sunday East Coast wake-up call for the Raiders, it makes the Jaguars a good game in Week 9 of the NFL.

NFL Week 9 odds and lines we support

There are only a few double-digit point spreads in the Week 9 NFL betting lines, but they both fall into the category of best bets for this week’s games. One thing should be kept in mind promo codes for sports betting offers a mix of first bet insurance and free bet opportunities, making some of these bets more attractive.

Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions (+3.5)

Detroit snapped a five-game losing streak against Green Bay late last season and has a very good chance to win back-to-back games against the Packers. Green Bay is on a four-game losing streak in large part due to a terrible rushing defense that has allowed 125+ yards rushing in all but one game this year.

Jamaal Williams has shown he can hold the rock for big gains, and the Lions could get some input from D’Andre Swift in that one. Combine those factors with field goal and turnover, and the Lions are a solid pick to get more than field goal in NFL Week 9 odds.

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets (+11.5)

Take away the destruction of a terrible Pittsburgh team in Week 5, and the Bills have won their last three games by a combined 17 points. Zach Wilson may be a disaster waiting to happen, but the Jets have a stout defense that is one of the best in various matchup rankings and game plans to protect Wilson. Combine those tendencies with 11.5 points for the Jets and it makes for a high percentage game.

Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5)

The Titans have one way to win: slow down Derrick Henry and play tough defense. It worked well during Tennessee’s five-game winning streak, but their last four wins came against the Colts (twice), Commanders and Texans.

The Chiefs have outscored these opponents by a lot, and they’ll disrupt that approach and force the Titans to play a style of play they’re not very good at, so take Kansas City by the score on Sunday with the NFL’s biggest Week 9 odds.
