DOHA, Qatar (AP) — Problems with FIFA’s mobile ticketing app for World Cup matches delayed fans getting to the stadium to watch England play Iran on Monday in the second game of the tournament.
Hundreds of fans lined up outside Khalifa International Stadium less than an hour before kick-off at 4pm in Doha.
“Some spectators are currently experiencing problems accessing their tickets,” FIFA acknowledged.
Fans have been advised to check the inbox of the email account they used to register with the FIFA ticketing app.
“In the event that fans are unable to access their email accounts, the ticket office at the stadium will be able to provide support,” FIFA said.
