Elsie Lambino was “in a hurry” when she stopped to buy Powerball lottery ticket– she told the representatives of the lottery.

Lambino, who lives in Virginia Beach, hastily picked the ticket numbers by combining family birthdays and anniversaries — a combination that won her $100,000, lottery officials said.

“I told my husband: ‘This can’t be!’ Lambino told lottery officials after learning she had won.

Lambino bought her lucky ticket at the Food Lion at the Fairfield Mall in Virginia Beach for the Oct. 26 Powerball drawing, lottery officials said in a Nov. 22 news release.

Lottery officials said a Virginia Beach woman matched four winning numbers and a Powerball number for a $50,000 prize. She also spent an extra dollar on Power Play, which doubled her winnings.

“I feel so blessed,” she told lottery officials.

Lottery officials said Lambino had “no immediate plans” to claim the prize.
