WINTER STORM WARNING; heavy snow before commute wednesday morning – chris

Good afternoon!

What we track

We are tracking a severe winter storm that continues in the northwest of the country. A WINTER STORM WARNING will continue until Thursday morning.

Plan your Wednesday

The trip on Wednesday morning will not be easy. By the time most people leave for work and school, they will be in for several hours of heavy snow. Several schools have already been cancelled school on Wednesday. The heaviest snow will fall between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. Wednesday, but the snow will continue throughout the day. With that in mind, an evening trip is also likely to be difficult as well.

Planner for Wednesday

Spokane and Coeur d’Alene forecast

After Wednesday’s winter storm, we’re far from done with the snow. The metro area will see bands of light to moderate snow Thursday and possibly Friday. There is at least a small chance of snow almost every day of the 7-day forecast. Also, temperatures will stay below freezing after Wednesday. So any snow you get will stick around for a while.
