A 22-year-old woman was found struggling to breathe due to the gunshots early in the head on Thanksgiving died a few days later, according to the Texas Sheriff’s Office.

Now hers the guy was arrestedKSAT reports.

Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the home around 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24, according to a news release. Deputies found the front door openand they heard someone breathing heavily.

They entered the home and found the woman shot in the head, authorities said. She was taken to hospital in critical condition and officials said she was “fighting for her life”.

The woman was pronounced dead at 6:02 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, authorities said.

According to a news release, the sheriff’s office identified 24-year-old Parris Shaw as a suspect in the shooting and asked the public to help find him.

On Nov. 27, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office learned that the San Antonio Police Department had arrested Shaw on charges of burglary, evading arrest and criminal trespass at another address.

Shaw also faces charges related to the shooting, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and serious bodily injury – family/dating, according to the release.

“The investigation is ongoing and additional charges will be filed in connection with the victim’s death,” authorities said.
