A ‘gorgeous’ Texas horse ranch is listed for $16.75 million. See photos

Along the Brazos River is an iconic horse ranch with over 1,000 acres of surrounding property for sale.

A Texas real estate agent described it at $16.75 million as “one of the most beautiful Texas ranches to be found on the market.”

The Rancho Waco Band famous for its horses, particularly as the headquarters of the Corliss and Louis Baldwin horse ranch.

“Although the ranch is known for its history-making horses, the horse component of the ranch is a small portion of its assets,” listing agent Allen Crumley said in a news release. “This is a beautiful property and the recreational aspects of the ranch are great. I believe this property will be in high demand, and rightfully so.”

The ranch includes more than 6 miles of land along the Waco Bend of the river – the last bend before the Brazos meets Rock Creek at the end of Possum Kingdom Lake.

It comes with a five-bedroom custom log home “in a very private location with beautiful views of Brazo’s Wild Bend,” according to the listing. Four of the rooms can be used as master or bunk rooms.

“Game is abundant and the ranch is an oasis for a variety of wild and game animals,” said the listing agent. “There has been virtually no hunting pressure on the white-tailed deer and Rio Grande turkey that call the ranch home.”

Feral hogs have been “actively contained and … kept at bay,” and the property has trails that run through the ranch and along the river.

This is the first time a Waco Bend ranch has been listed for sale.

The main entrance to the ranch is about 100 miles from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and about 15 miles southeast of Graham.
